About

A removals firm that works one county properly

We do not claim national coverage. We work East Sussex, we know what each part of it does to a moving day, and when a job leaves the county we plan the first hour honestly rather than pretending the map is flat.

What we do

Household removals, mainly. Full house moves across the county and out of it, rural and coastal property where the access decides the vehicle, man-and-van work at the smaller end, packing in whatever quantity you want it, containerised storage, and moves that carry on into France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

We also take small commercial work — offices along the Eastbourne front, studios in the Hastings Old Town, shops in Lewes — usually out of hours so the business loses the least trading time.

Why the county focus matters

East Sussex is a difficult county to move furniture around, and the difficulty is unevenly distributed. Lewes has footpaths where houses should have driveways. Hastings Old Town has properties reachable only by steps. Seafront blocks in Eastbourne and Bexhill have lifts built for people, not wardrobes. Out past Heathfield and Nutley the lanes are single track and the gravel goes soft after rain.

A firm that works everywhere prices all of that the same. We do not. The survey looks at the approach, the quote says what the approach means, and the crew that turns up is the size the job actually needs.

How we work

Survey first

On anything above a small flat, somebody looks at the property — in person or by video — before a number is written down. It costs nothing and it is the only way to get volume and access right.

Written quotes

Scope on paper: measured volume, crew, vehicle, what packing is included, what cover applies. If you are comparing us with someone else, those are the things to compare.

One point of contact

The person who takes your brief is the person who knows the job when you ring about it three weeks later. There is no call queue to be passed around.

Protection as standard

Blankets, covers, corner and door-frame protection, floor runners where the flooring warrants it. On listed and older property that is not an upgrade, it is the baseline.

What we do not do

We do not quote a price before we understand the job. We do not tell you a transit time we cannot stand behind. We do not take on a property we have not established we can physically reach. And we do not claim accreditations, awards or press coverage we have not got — if something is not on this site, it is because it is not true yet.

Cover and responsibility

Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. If something in your household is genuinely valuable, tell us at survey stage and we will confirm in writing what applies before you commit. The full contractual position is on the terms page.

Getting hold of us

The quote form is the fastest route — it reaches the people who plan the work. The contact page has the rest, and questions covers most of what people want to know before they write in. Where we cover is set out on areas we cover.

Next step

Tell us about the move

Send the details — where you are going from, where to, and roughly what is in the house. We will read it properly and come back with a written quote.
