Who we are

East Sussex Removals operates this website and is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@eastsussex-removals.co.uk.

What we collect

When you use the quote form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses you give us, your moving date if you supply one, and any notes you write. When you email or call us we hold whatever you choose to tell us.

We also collect standard analytics data about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

Why we hold it

• To prepare and send you a quote, and to arrange a survey
• To plan and carry out a move you have booked
• To answer a question you have asked us
• To keep the records a business is legally required to keep

Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform that contract, and — for analytics and site security — our legitimate interest in running the site properly.

Who sees it

The people in our office who quote and plan moves, and the crew who carry out your move. Form submissions pass through our website host and our lead-handling system. For moves outside the UK, the information necessary for customs clearance is shared with the agents and authorities handling that clearance — that is unavoidable for an international move and is limited to what the clearance requires.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

Spam protection

The quote form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated submissions. Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to that check.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept while they might still be useful to you and then deleted. Completed moves are kept for as long as our legal, tax and insurance obligations require, and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email hello@eastsussex-removals.co.uk and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies

The site uses analytics cookies to understand how pages are used, and reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies when the quote form is used. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, but the form's spam protection may not.

If this policy changes we will update this page. The version you are reading is the one that applies.
