The county splits into four belts that behave very differently for a removals crew. Here is how we think about them, what the housing is like in each, and which towns have a page of their own.

Peacehaven, Newhaven, Seaford, Eastbourne, Pevensey Bay, Bexhill, St Leonards and Hastings. Seafront flats, converted villas, bungalow belts and postwar estates. Parking and lift dimensions are the recurring questions; wind is an occasional one.

Lewes, the Ouse valley up to Barcombe and Chailey, and the Cuckmere villages at Alfriston and West Dean. Narrow lanes, flint walls, listed frontages and twittens. Almost everything here benefits from a survey before a vehicle is chosen.
TN6 · TN20 · TN21 · TN22 · BN27
Uckfield, Crowborough, Hailsham, Heathfield, Mayfield and the Ashdown Forest edge. Family housing with driveways, plus smallholdings, barn conversions and equestrian property on single-track lanes.
TN31 · TN32 · TN33 · TN36
Rye, Winchelsea, Battle, Robertsbridge, Sedlescombe and the villages between them. The farthest corner of the county, with a long first leg on any job — that is costed honestly rather than absorbed and regretted.
Town pages
These are the places where the local detail genuinely changes the job, so each has a page of its own rather than a name swapped into a template. Everywhere else in the county is covered from the same yards and quoted the same way.
A lot of East Sussex work does not end in East Sussex. We run moves up to London and the Home Counties, across to Kent and Surrey, and the long way north and west when a family leaves the coast entirely. Those get planned as longer household moves because the first hour out of the county — the A27, A22 or A21 — is slow enough to matter.
